a classroom at Aransas Pass Texas
The Central Texas Local Section of ACS invites your support in rebuilding the science education programs of Aransas Pass, TX.
Aransas Pass was one of the hardest hit towns by Hurricane Harvey. All five schools in the Aransas Pass school district suffered massive devastation and are not in any condition to accept students. While construction is going around the clock to clear and mend the extensive damage to the buildings, the science classroom electronics and supplies are irreparable. Many of these items were collected over a range of years by teachers, staff, students, parents, and local businesses.
The Central Texas Local Section of ACS is committed to science education initiatives in Texas. Therefore, the Central Texas section will match all donations until we reach a total of $5000.
The Aransas Pass ISD would like to use all donations collected by the Central Texas ACS to rebuild and outfit science labs and classrooms. APISD will divide all donations equally among the five schools in the school district. Each school will use these funds to replace the electronics and instruments in science classrooms and labs that were damaged by water.
Central TX ACS will also be collecting cash and/or checks at the local section meetings. Checks may also be sent directly by mail. Receipts for donations will be provided upon request
Checks can be made payable to: Central TX ACS Hurricane Fund
